This MUST be FAKE!!! It requires a lot of experimenting (and calculating?) to find out the correct inclination angel and where exact ther drop off must take place, the perfect knowledge of the drop off area and a LOT of planing... If this is not fake, then it is crazy :) |

There are upwinds along the mountains and the guys below that you seen standing on the side is most likely measuring the wind speed going up the side... and as you see he isn't going horizontally but almost 45 dregree angle downwards...this makes it completely possible. However it's a very ballsy stund to pull. |

Klurken: After you've done 200 jumps. The guys that make the birdman suit refuse to sell to anyone who hasn't done 200. You need a safety course also if you have less than 500. There's a good article in a recent popular science mag. Some specifics are that the terminal velocity of the suit is 35 mph, as opposed to a normal skydiver's 120, and you can get up to 80 mph horizontally. So you can go more than 2 miles in any direction for every mile you fall. Before the guys who made this suite (which is safe, only fatality so far is by someone who borrowed it, and didn't have enough experience), 75 people made and used birdman suits. 72 of them died doing it. :) |

| mgattini | He has many many skydives, actually designed the suit he is jumping and has calculated his glide ratio on the wingsuit, just as long as the mountains angle is more then his glide path he is okay, that is what this is, a very calculated thing. The camera does have some optical illusion and so the mountain looks flatter then it actuall is. Soulflyers. |
